How does it work?

Basic Overview

You print off a 'notification card' at HadToSay.com. Printed on the notification is a message ID and PIN. Upon discovering the sleuthfully placed notification, the recipient will use the message ID and PIN to retrieve the message you've left for them - they have the option to respond.

The Process

Notifications

Once you've signed up and verified your email address simply login, request a notification on the notifications page then print the notification and trim it out.

Writing the Message

If you already have something to say to someone, go back to the notifications page, click 'enter message' for the corresponding notification you just prepared and enter your message. If you don't yet have something to say to someone, simply hold onto the notification until you encounter a use for it.

Once the opportunity presents itself and you've delivered your notification, promptly login to HadToSay, visit the notifications page, then enter a message for the notification that corresponds to the one just delivered. If you have an iPhone you can use the WebApp (mobile.hadtosay.com) to get your message posted right away.

Your Inbox

Once a message has been entered, you can access it in your inbox. There you can check to see if the message has been read or responded to. You can also add follow-up messages and if the message has not been retrieved - and you think the recipient may have missed the first notfication you left for them, you can print more notification cards.

Update Alerts

If you prefer not to check back 100 times a day to see if the recipient has read or responded to your message, visit the 'Account Settings' page to sign up for 'Update Alerts' under preferences. You can request to receive an alert by SMS or email each time one of your messages has been read or updated.

Browsing and Eavesdropping

As you've likely noticed, messages are made public for everyone to read, and even comment on. Don't worry, while your words are out there for all to read, your identity is kept private.
