Thanks Dad!

Thanks so much for spending my childhood with your nose in the newspaper and a bottle to your mouth. Thanks for our "family outings" of going to the package store to pick up your next 12 pack.

And of course, thanks so much for going sober and then deciding that you could have your cake and eat it too, rather than being a man and leaving. It was loads of fun to stay awake all night worrying what mom was going to do to herself if I feel asleep.

And even now, thanks for lying to me about all it, even though I never even asked you about it. I wasn't as stupid or naive as you thought.

Thanks to you, I don't think I can ever trust anyone again.
